A Beautifully proportioned, slender mahogany 8 day longcase from the east coast of Scotland by Henderson of Musselburgh.

Case: Excellent flame mahogany, boxwood strung, mahogany crossbanded long door case with reeded columns to hood and matching 1/4 columns to trunk. Swan neck pediment with pierced frets under. Central brass finial.
Dial: 12" breakarch painted dial with strawberries and name in arch. Cherries to corner decorations. Delicately painted swags to lower part of dial. Early form of ‘mouth’ date aperture. Roman main numerals. ‘Dot’ minutes with arabic 5 minute numbering.
Movement: 8 day hourly (rack) striking. Original, typically Scottish painted pendulum bob.
