A Classic east coast Scottish early 19th century mahogany 8 day longcase of excellent quality and proportions.

Case: Superb flame mahogany and boxwood strung long door case with reeded columns to hood and matching reeded 1/4 columns to trunk. Classic ‘Edinburgh’ type hood with pierced decorative frets under swan neck pediment. Side windows to hood. Central eagle ball finial.
Dial: 12 1/2" breakarch painted dial with matching subsidiary seconds and date dials. Moonphases to arch with ‘High water at Leith quarter past 11pm’ over. Flowers and fans to corner decorations.
Movement: 8 day. Hourly (rack) striking.
