Typical late 18C very high quality East Coast Scottish inlaid, boxwood strung and crossbanded flame mahogany case with fine penwork detail.Fine detail to the trunk reeded quarter columns.”Silk” backed side frets to hood.Swan neck pediment.Exceptional quality cabinet making – and pretty.

Dial: Early 12” breakarch “Wilson” painted dial with raised gilt gesso borders to flower painted corner spandrels.Delicately painted colourful finch type bird to arch vignette.Subsidiary seconds dial, date aperture

Movement: Good quality 4 pillar hourly ( rack ) striking movement.
