Well proportioned, pretty, late 18C solid mahogany case, the pagoda top hood with “silk” backed fretted panel and greek key pattern detail below, typical of the Portsmouth area at that time.Side windows to hood, arch top to trunk door, and panelled base set on bracket feet.Three gilded gesso, wooden finials.

 
Dial: 12” breakarch engraved and silvered brass dial with moonphases to arch, and centre sweep date

Movement: Beautifully executed high quality 5 pillar 8 day movement with “Tee” shaped front plate to accommodate the moon work
