An early 19th century longcase with 12 " breakarch painted dial and boxwood strung flame mahogany case.

Case: Flame mahogany case with boxwood stringing and inlaid stringing. Boxwood stringing to canted corners. High swan neck pediment with fluting and carving under. Casemakers label, William Cock, Highgrove Street, Bristol. Recorded 1817-19 "Clock case maker and inventor of the camp writing desk."   
Dial: 12" breakarch painted dial with moonphases to arch, seconds and date.

Movement: 8 day. Hourly (rack) striking.  
Maker: Chas. Greening, Bristol. Recorded 1821-30. Recorded born Gloucester 1782, believed died in 1851.  
Date: Circa 1820.
