Case Superbly proportioned early 18C highly figured walnut case of good rich colour and having detachable caddy top.
Dial 12” breakarch brass dial with penny moon to arch showing age of moon, high water and tidal variations.
Movement High quality, well executed, 8 day movement with 5 finned, ringed and knopped pillars. Hourly ( rack ) striking.
Maker Jno. ( John ) Culliford, Bristol. Lantern clock by him in Bristol Museum.
Date This maker believed dead in 1718.
