Case Well proportioned, flat top, long door, quarter sawn, oak case of good colour and neat size.
Dial 11" square brass dial with rococo spandrels, subsidiary seconds dial, centre sweep date indicator and finely engraved and silvered centre zone.Blued, cut steel hands - brass tip to date indicator.
Movement Good quality 30 hour two plate movement with hourly ( countwheel ) striking.Unusual to see a centre sweep date on a 30 hour clock.
Maker Thos. ( Thomas ) Dicker of Reading. Recorded in Reading from 1756.Last date for him 1797.
