Case Small, neat, plain oak, long door, case of good colour and proportions having breakarch top and single step plinth.
Dial 12" breakarch early "Wilson" dial with Arabic numerals, "minutes numbered", raised gilt gesso corner spandrels, subsidiary seconds dial, "sad mouth" date aperture and blued cut steel hands. Arch with raised gilt gesso decoration.
Movement 4 pillar 8 day movement with hourly ( rack ) striking on a single bell.
Maker John Brown of Harleston (near Diss, Norfolk) recorded 1801 - 1844.
Date Dating by style, circa 1810.
Height 81..2" ( 206 cms. ).
