Case Exceptional flame mahogany, long door case having "double breakarch" top, with keystone centred red "silk" backed frets under.Side windows to hood, brass mounted, brass insert fluted hood columns and matching trunk quarter columns.Raised panel base with typical "London" two step base, the lower, shaped. Mellow colour, good "warmth" and patination. Excellent quality case - the mahogany unusually dense and heavy.
Dial 12" breakarch brass dial with strike/silent to arch, cast brass rococo spandrels, finely matted dial centre, recessed seconds disc, recessed nameplate, centre sweep calendar and blued, cut steel hands.
