Case Typical late 18C, high quality"London" flame mahogany case with fret centred pagoda top, brass capped fluted "flying" hood columns with brass rod inserts, matching trunk quarter columns, choice flame veneered trunk door, panelled base with scalloped corners and typical two step plinth.Side windows to hood.
Dial 12" breakarch brass dial with "starry sky" moonphases to arch, subsidiary seconds dial, square date box, finely matted dial centre and C scroll rococo spandrels. Blued cut steel hands. N.B. Moonphase London longcases are not common.
