Case Typical " Bristol", late18C, long door, pale flame mahogany case with swan neck pediment, typical Bristol pierced work under, twist hood columns and shaped top to trunk door, all set on shallow bracket feet.
Dial 12" breakarch silvered and finely engraved brass dial with rocking ship automaton to arch. "George Williams Bristol" to "rainbow" over top of arch. Date lunette with scalloped and highlighted details. Subsidiary seconds dial. Blued cut steel hands.
Movement Good quality 8 day movement with hourly ( rack ) striking.Very well executed automaton rocking ship mechanism.
